St. Archikidz Foundation Rotterdam is organizing free architecture workshops for children aged 7 to 12 to stimulate awareness about their built environment in a fun and playful way.
Every child lives in a building and in a village or city. Those buildings, streets and cities don’t just magically appear. A lot of thought is put into them. If kids were given the power, what would their house, school or playground look like? What would they want to change in their own city?
Stichting Archikidz Rotterdam believes in the creative power of children and inspires them to discover this power by thinking about and taking part in designing their own surroundings. Children from different social groups in Rotterdam, with all different kinds of backgrounds, meet, work together and get to know each other.
